Title:Intelligent Social Agent: Establishing Reciprocal Relationship between Human and AI
Abstract:
While human users explore useful AI services that can help their tasks, AI agents also need the users' assistance and cooperation. The agents must acquire the users' permission to access their data and request their supervision and guide to learn from it. Without the users' help, AI agents can not provide personalized information and interaction, which makes the agents mere mindless machines. Thus, AI agents should elicit the user’s voluntary cooperation to improve the performance and make a better decision. The current talk discusses AI’s cooperation skills. AI agents can employ a range of social skills that humans use in everyday communication, as all the users in human society naturally interact with AI agents in a social manner. In this webinar, we will be reviewing a set of principles to improve Human-AI cooperation in the latest AI technologies, including social robots, autonomous vehicles, and smart speakers. In addition, a discussion will be made on how the findings can suggest implications for Human-AI Interaction research and AI technology development.
