Main Characteristic Of Curriculum
Curriculum
The first year of study includes basic principles in research, statistics, measurement as well as theoretical orientations and content underlying the knowledge base of interaction science and human-technology interaction. Depending on their undergraduate majors, first year students are encouraged to complete the pre-school courses.
After completing the introductory courses and consulting with thesis/doctoral advisors, students are required to choose a specialized major track among the three below.
1) Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)
2) Human-Information Interaction (HII)
3) Digital Media & Contents (DMC)
For a MS degree, students are required to earn at least 24 course credits, including 6 credits from the basic grounding courses, 12 credits from the intensive courses, and 3 credits from the applied courses.
For a PhD degree, students are required to earn the 24 credits required for the MS degree and additional 36 credits, including at least 6 credits from the applied courses.
